Our Suppliers

Here's the *growing* list of our wedding suppliers :-)

Ceremony and Reception Venue
The Paradiso Terrestre
Address: National Road, Molino Highway, Bacoor, Cavite
Website: http://www.theparadisoterrestre.com

- We chose this venue mainly because it's going to be very accessible for most of our guests since it's located just 10 minutes away from Alabang via Daang Hari. And we like their wedding package for both the ceremony and the reception because it's almost complete already. All we have to do now is to decide on the details - like the menu, colors, flowers, etc.

Photo/Video

LightShapers Studio
Address: 2/F Lipam's Building, President's Avenue, BF Homes, Parañaque City
Website: http://www.thelightshapers.com

- I was dreaming...DREAMING BIG of getting The Mayad Studios or Jason Magbanua to cover our wedding. But...THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE! I really love their work but realistically speaking, we can't afford their rates. So, the challenge for us was to look for the next best photo/video supplier. The top three suppliers that we had in mind were Mark De Guzman, Niceprint Photo, and Lightshapers. And here's a rundown of why we end up choosing Lighshapers:
a. We initially though of getting Mark De Guzman, as recommended by one of Brian's church mates. I really like his photography skills but I think their video services need to be improved on. And since I'm very particular with the video, more than the photos, we decided to look for another supplier.
b. Then I came across Niceprint Photo, famous for their works with Ogie and Regine Velasquez's wedding and that of John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles's wedding. Their package is actually good. And we almost got them. But they're too far from the south!
c. Then Lightshapers came :-). Another one of Brian's church mates recommended this studio. I looked around the internet to look for their work samples but I only got to look at the photos. And as I've said, I am very particular with the video, so Brian emailed the studio to ask for some samples and also for them to send their package. And when Ms. Lally of Lightshapers answered, it's like we found the one :-).

Bridal Couture
Jun Marcelino
Address: Taguig City

My tita recommended Jun Marcelino to design and make the dresses/suits for the wedding. Since my tita is a frequent client, Tito Jun gave us a good package :-)

There's just one thing that I learned from dealing with this supplier. You gotta prepare a contract detailing every request and agreement you have - from the design, the color, the freebies, the cost, and other services they initially said. Overall, I was happy with their work. I just got a little bit disappointed with their service besides the fact that a lot of my specifications were not followed. And their supposed "freebies" were just plain sales talk. I didn't want to become a bridezilla so I just dealt with whatever they gave me - which includes me and my sister taking out an "octopus-like" flower detail at the back of my wedding dress.
